Recurring content rules
Define a recurring brief, inspect generated work and control when it can publish.
Content automations produce content from a recurring rule. They are different from Auto-Post, which reacts to new items in a feed, and from a queue, which assigns publishing times to prepared posts.
Create a focused rule
-
Open the content-rule area under Automation if it is enabled.
-
Name the rule and specify the source, topics, audience and desired format using the fields offered.
-
Select exact accounts and set the cadence or destination queue.
-
Provide brand guidance, subjects to avoid and the intended media behavior.
-
Choose a review or draft mode while testing. Inspect any usage estimate and the proposed next run before saving.
Review a run
Open the rule's history and inspect its generated items. Check source accuracy, account, caption, media and proposed time. Review a small first batch through Approvals before increasing volume. An automation may generate a draft, submit an approval request or schedule a post depending on its settings. Confirm the actual state in Content or Calendar.
Improve or pause
Repeated rejected drafts usually mean the rule needs a more specific brief or better sources. Tighten the topics and examples, reduce output volume and review another run. Pause the rule when the source or offer becomes outdated. Inspect already generated drafts and scheduled posts separately. Keep history available while diagnosing a failure rather than deleting the rule immediately.
