Social reply rules

Match incoming social activity and review automated responses before enabling automatic sends.

These are the reply rules inside Social's own Inbox section. They are separate from the automation features documented at DigLab Inbox Docs.

Create a focused rule

  1. Open Inbox → Automations in Social and choose New automation.

  2. Give it a specific name and select the exact accounts and item types.

  3. Define the trigger using the matching options offered. Use a narrow phrase or condition for the first test.

  4. Write the response or describe how the reply should be drafted.

  5. Select Require approval while testing. Inspect whether saving makes the rule active immediately.

  6. Save and test against an authorized example. Check History for the match, proposed reply and outcome.

Inspect before automatic sends

Read matched and unmatched examples to find false positives. Confirm how overlapping rules are handled before enabling multiple similar rules. Keep sensitive complaints, account-specific promises and uncertain requests in human review. A rule configured for automatic sending can reply externally without another click. Enable that mode only for the account, trigger and response you have actually reviewed.

Pause and fix

Pause a broad or incorrect rule, then tighten its scope. Review pending replies separately; pausing a rule may not remove existing review items. Check sent outcomes before retrying failed actions so a recipient does not receive duplicate replies.

Use the current Inbox navigation

Open Inbox → Inbox Automations or the matching submenu offered in your workspace. Begin with a narrow account and trigger, and retain review while checking matches. The current Comments screen also exposes Smart draft and other response controls; their presence does not mean automatic external replies are enabled.
