Compare and restore draft versions

Recover earlier content without confusing it with publication history.

Version History records saved content states where supported. It helps compare edits and recover an earlier draft. Activity Log records wider actions and status changes.

Compare versions

  1. Open the draft or scheduled post and choose History, often shown with a clock icon.

  2. Inspect available timestamps, authors and content previews.

  3. Open the version you want to examine in full.

  4. Use Compare and select another version when that control is offered.

  5. Check text, media and settings, not only the first line of the caption.

Restore deliberately

Choose Restore this version only after confirming the preview. Read the confirmation and verify the resulting current draft. Keep a separate copy of important edits if the available history or retention is uncertain. After restoring, recheck destinations, schedule and approval requirements. Restoring a draft does not edit a post already live on a social network, and it does not necessarily restore deleted assets or an entire deleted workspace.

When history is missing

Check that you opened the correct item and workspace. Older versions can fall outside retention. Comments may have their own history, while scheduling and publication events belong in Activity Log.
