Connect an RSS or Atom feed
Find the real public feed, test extraction and monitor new items.
RSS and Atom expose a site's recent entries in a structured feed. Auto-Post needs that feed rather than an ordinary homepage that looks like a list of articles.
Connect safely
-
Find the publication's public feed URL. Common sites offer a feed link or a documented
/feed/or/rss/route; confirm it returns the intended entries. -
Open Automation → Auto-Post and select the RSS source type.
-
Paste the feed URL and inspect the preview's titles and links.
-
Choose Auto-draft only, select exact accounts and set the intended timing behavior.
-
Save and inspect the first detected item and resulting draft in History.
Review source quality
Check title, extracted description, public link and any chosen image. A feed can contain only an excerpt. Make the resulting post reflect the actual available facts and send readers to the original article for detail. For store feeds, confirm products are published to the public storefront and their descriptions and images are current. A password-protected feed may fail access; do not disable store protections casually to make an automation work.
Diagnose missing items
Inspect the latest check, error and feed preview. Check whether the item is actually in the feed, whether it predates the supported initial import window and whether it was already handled. Confirm the automation is active and the chosen mode has not simply saved the item as a draft.
